ABOUT US
Wilson Marionettes and Puppets is a family operated enterprise which provides on-site family entertainment for children of all ages. With the assistance of enchanted puppets and marionettes we will create a mystical live action fantasy for all to enjoy. The performances are cabaret style with plenty of music, colors and dancing. We also offer seasonal performances.
We are available for schools, libraries, churches, organizational events, birthdays and specials occasions. Performance formats include a Musical Variety Style (with up to 10 marionettes and a Music Theme) or a brief Meet & Greet Interactive Style session (with up to 5 marionettes and accompanying music).
Our performances are self-contained, with easy set-ups. You provide the space, (12x12 or above recommended), and we will provide the strings.
Wilson Marionettes and Puppets loves entertaining audiences through the art of marionettes and puppets. Our performances are designed around our music and the stage motif. Our marionette and puppet characters are either hand crafted or rescues that have been restored and modified. Our marionette wood controllers have been hand made by our Master Puppeteer. Our performances are audience interactive with educational question and answer sessions for young audience members.

How much space do you require for a performance?
For a small audience you need to provide at least a 12x12 space or more. A larger audience may require a larger space. If it’s determined that a raised stage is ideal for a theater or multi-purpose room, an 8 foot ceiling is required. Please contact us to discuss your location and your package selection to determine space requirements.
Do you perform outdoors?
Outdoor performances may be possible, although they are at our discretion. There are certain requirements which include an accessible hard, flat service. The location must have an accessible 120 volt connection. We cannot perform on dusty dirt areas, grass or mud.

Yes. We require an electrical plug within 50 feet of the area designated for performance. We do have portable battery power for performances at outdoor locations. However, we will conduct an assessment of any restrictions or possible additional requirements.

If a cancellation is made within (7) calendar days after receiving the deposit, the deposit with be fully refunded. If the cancellation is made outside the (7) calendar days, only10% of the deposit will be refunded. When possible, the Wilson Marionettes and Puppets encourages our patrons to reschedule performances.
What do you charge for a performance?
The Wilson Marionettes and Puppets pricing is based on the performance package selected. The selections include the Musical Variety package and the Meet & Greet package. We do offer discounts. For example, a Meet & Greet package for a small birthday gathering could start at $135.00. A discount could reduce the price.

PRESS INFORMATION
The Wilson Marionettes and Puppets is a family operated enterprise which provides on-site family entertainment for children of all ages. With the assistance of enchanted puppets and marionettes, The Wilson Marionettes and Puppets will create a mystical live action fantasy for all to enjoy. The performances use a cabaret style format with plenty of music, colors and dancing. The musical variety performance is suitable for children from the ages of 4 and above.
Cabaret style is a setup in which the audience is seated in a half-circle configuration of no more than two or three rows. The marionette characters perform in the middle in full view. This arrangement allows the puppets to be close up to the audience and promotes interaction. Additionally, the puppets are at eye level for children and may reach out and touch a welcoming face. The audience has the opportunity to see the puppeteers operating the controls, and creating magic.
Unlike story themed performances, which may be based on children’s books or a theatrical production, The Wilson Marionette and Puppets musical variety performance is based on musical themes, dancing, amusement and marionettes performing tricks.
Overall, The Wilson Marionette and Puppets performance is designed to create a smile, encourage spontaneous laughter and most importantly entertain.
